The Manager EDGE
Building leadership capability and confidence to build relationships,
set compelling direction, inspire and motivate the people they influence
to achieve individual and team success.
The Current ChallengeWhy is The Manager EDGE Important?
Frontline managers are critical to the success of organisations. They supervise, manage and influence the organisation’s individual contributors and oversee and are responsible for many of the day-to-day operations.
Yet, in many cases, they are the least experienced leaders and have been promoted because they were the best at the roles they were in, but not the role they were recruited for.
The result of this is that frontline managers are often lost in the day to day management tasks and don’t understand how to lead people and teams to success.
They are unable to see the value in building relationships, networking and collaborating with their peers to gain insights and ideas and share successes.
They struggle to handle day to day issues, are often feeling overwhelmed, stressed, frustrated, lonely and alienated. This can increase the risk of them making costly mistakes in terms of productivity, efficiency and people.
What Will Give You To ensure organisations remain relevant for their clients or customers
The Strategic EDGE?
and key stakeholders, they need to step back from everyday business activities and answer some critical questions about alignment and direction
and create a unified workforce that not only understands what they do and how they do it but really understands why they do what they do.
It all starts at the very top of the organisation, with its Strategic Executives.
Meeting The ChallengeIf you can develop empowered managers, who are able to connect their own purpose to the organisational purpose and translate purpose to their teams, then your organisation is sure to thrive. They do this by developing important practices of self-reflection, planning and goal setting and demonstrating skills like effective communication, feedback and coaching that realise the potential of, and motivate their people.
By investing in developing effective managers,
your frontline managers will:
- Build self-awareness, self-confidence and individual wellbeing so that they can be better equipped to make effective decisions and interact constructively with others.
- Effectively build relationships and influence those around them.
- ngage in constructive communication that will be clear, concise, and positive.
- Motivate others by creating an action-focused environment and effectively supporting, developing and coaching their people.
- Be able to hold themselves and others accountable.

Gabriella gave an energising, insightful and entertaining presentation to lead every member of the staff into their own DiSC profile. It has allowed all of us to consider how to work really effectively… and really value… our many colleagues who are the professional opposite to us. I would recommend What’s Your Edge? programs to other Schools and organisations that would like to engage their staff in next level communication for increased productivity, with their peers, and for true team intelligence.
I had the pleasure of Gab presenting for a company workshop. She is a very enthusiastic facilitator, speaks with great passion and had the whole room engaged throughout the day. She managed to simplify complex theories with easy to follow practices. At the end of the day walking out the room felt refreshed, armed with tips and tricks to run my work-life efficiently. I look forward to some more of Gab's coaching.
The team at What's Your Edge? are best described as: a highly effective, results-driven, 'heart centered' well-oiled machine and as such I have continued to work with them for many years. Gabby worked with us to design a training seminar for our business leaders. Gabby was authentic and the training was delivered in a way that was well suited to the group. Gabby's use of examples and "hacks" gave the participants easy actions to implement immediately and we did so the very next day.
