The Team EDGE
To build Team Intelligence (TeamQ) which involve teams working together
to improve performance, collaboration, communication and overall job satisfaction.
The Current ChallengeOrganisational success occurs when individual contributors come together and are actively aligned and committed. The challenge for organisations is that often their teams are not aligned to a higher organisational purpose and direction and this results in teams competing with each other while trying to achieve the same end goal. It is also replicated within teams.
Without clear direction and alignment, many team members try to achieve results without leveraging off the knowledge, skills and experience of their teammates. They do not get the chance to share their successes and challenges and hold themselves and each other accountable for performance outcomes. The end results in a team with great intentions but performance that does not fulfil their combined potential.
Are you investing in your organisation’s downfall?Perhaps you're not but your people might be. We see it in workplaces all the time.
Teams working in silos, lack of accountability, fixed mindsets, no fun or laughter, suspicion, mistrust, lack of creativity and innovation, good people leaving, bad people staying, low morale, margins not increasing, defensiveness and blame.
Not dealing with such behaviour, even if small, can quickly become a workplace norm that fireballs through an organisation’s culture. When this happens you need to invest in time for your team to be together, to become aligned so that that give a damn about your organisation's success, and each other's.
Meeting The ChallengeWhen teams work together intelligently, then their potential is unlocked. Team Intelligence is created by the team reflecting together, aligning to the organisational purpose and vision, collaborating in meaningful ways, and identifying the steps to high performance through ownership and accountability.
By investing in the Team Edge, your teams will:
- Create team alignment to the organisations Purpose, Vision, Values and Strategic direction.
- Reflect on what is working for, and working against team success.
- Understand the importance of mindset, trust, conflict management, commitment and accountability for shared results and success.
- Understand and value personal difference in the workplace to better navigate difficult or conflicting situations.
- Engage in constructive communication and feedback with each other.
- Set team rules and goals.
Want to Work Together?
Gabriella gave an energising, insightful and entertaining presentation to lead every member of the staff into their own DiSC profile. It has allowed all of us to consider how to work really effectively… and really value… our many colleagues who are the professional opposite to us. I would recommend What’s Your Edge? programs to other Schools and organisations that would like to engage their staff in next level communication for increased productivity, with their peers, and for true team intelligence.
I had the pleasure of Gab presenting for a company workshop. She is a very enthusiastic facilitator, speaks with great passion and had the whole room engaged throughout the day. She managed to simplify complex theories with easy to follow practices. At the end of the day walking out the room felt refreshed, armed with tips and tricks to run my work-life efficiently. I look forward to some more of Gab's coaching.
The team at What's Your Edge? are best described as: a highly effective, results-driven, 'heart centered' well-oiled machine and as such I have continued to work with them for many years. The team has a unique ability to carefully understand business problems and effectively deliver sustainable solutions addressing various capabilities, presenting a learning and development offer that is pitched exactly to the audience.
Gabby worked with us to design a training seminar for our business leaders. Gabby was authentic and the training was delivered in a way that was well suited to the group. Gabby's use of examples and "hacks" gave the participants easy actions to implement immediately and we did so the very next day.
